Academic CV
After having graduated in Law magna cum laude at the University "Federico II" of Naples, he received a Magister Legum (LL.M.), magna cum laude, from University "Johann Wolfgang Goethe”, Frankfurt am Main, and a PhD in "Economic and work relations Law" from University "Federico II", Naples.
He served as Research Fellow (2001-2002), Assistant Professor (2002-2005), and Associate Professor (2005) at the Second University of Naples.
Since 2005 he is Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Università della Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", in charge of Commercial Law.
Since 2024 he is a member of the academic board of the Ph.D Course Diritto Comparato, Privato, Processuale Civile e dell’Impresa of the University of Milan.
Direction of scientific reviews and book series
Since 2012 he is a member of the board of directors of Banca, borsa e titoli di credito and Le nuove leggi civili commentate.
Since he is a member of the board of directors of the book series Il diritto della banca e della borsa, published by Francis Lefebvre Giuffrè.
Since 2022 he is a member of the board of directors of Rivista di diritto civile.
Academic fellowships
Since 2004 he is founder and academic fellow of the Associazione Gian Franco Campobasso per lo studio del diritto commerciale e bancario.
Since 2010 he is academic fello of the Associazione Orizzonti del diritto commerciale.
Since 2015 he is member of the board of directors of AEDBF (Association Europeenne Pour Le Droit Bancaire et Financier) – Italian section.
Research projects admitted to public financing
From 2005 to 2007 he was responsible for the scientific research unit on “Nuove forme di finanziamento societario e tutela degli investitori” admitted to the state co-financing (PRIN 2005).
Since 2024 he is a member of the research unit on “artificial intelligence-based early warning tools (ai-ewt)”, admitted to the state co-financing (PRIN, Bando 2022)
Academic appointments
From 2005 to 2009 he was secretary of the Faculty of Law of the SUN.
From 2009 to 2012 he was vicedean of the Faculty of Law.
From 2018 to 2024 he was a member of Nucleo di Valutazione (supervisory body) of the Unversità del Molise.
Since 2022 he is the scientific supervisor of the Library of the Department.
Since 2023 he is vicedean of the Department of Law.
He is the author of monographs, articles, and case notes. Since 2003, he takes care of the updating of Commercial Law Hornbook by Gian Franco Campobasso.
